Terms and Conditions


Please read the Terms & Conditions below. You accept them by attending a walk.

Liability

Valeways and all delivery partners have endeavoured to ensure the safety of all Festival participants. It cannot, however, be held liable for any injury or loss of, or damage to, personal property, however caused, except to the extent to which it is unlawful to exclude such liability under the applicable law. You are advised to take out insurance against accident and personal injury.

The responsibility for your walk is that of the individual provider namely - Valeways, Vale of Glamorgan Ramblers or Penarth and District Ramblers. Any queries or complaints should be directed to the Festival organiser, Valeways, using the contact us form on the contacts page.

Health & Safety

It is the responsibility of all walkers to ensure that they are physically fit enough to take part in the walks that they have selected and that they have appropriate clothing and equipment. 
Please wear suitable walking boots/shoes.
Carry sufficient water for the length of the walk. (minimum 500ml recomended)
Carry both sun protection and wet weather protection. Sun screen & Insect repellent recomended.
Take high-energy snacks. 
For your own safety, Walk Leaders may refuse to allow you to join the group if you are not appropriately clothed or equipped.

Age

Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.  It is the parents/guardians sole responsibility to select walks to suit the ability of their children.

Timing

Please arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before the start of each walk.  Walks will commence at the given time, whether all participants have arrived or not.

Weather

The walk leader will be at the meeting place whatever the weather. However, in exceptional weather conditions, the walk may be re-routed or cancelled to ensure your safety. 

Dogs

Dogs cannot be accepted on any countryside walks for the 2024 festival. They can attract dangerous attention from livestock and put walkers at risk. Fully trained assistance dogs may be taken on the 4 stroller walks in the festival. Please read our assistance dogs policy.

Walk Alterations & Cancellations

The organisers reserve the right to alter this Festival programme without prior notice. The details in this programme are believed to be correct at the time of going to press.  The right to alter routes is also reserved.  We also reserve the right to cancel a walk in exceptional circumstances. 

If after booking your walk you wish to cancel for any reason, you must contact the Festival organiser, Valeways, using the contact us form on the contacts page. It is at the discretion of the organiser whether a refund is given or not. Refunds cannot be claimed through TicketSource.

Photographs

Professional or amateur photographers might be present on your walk(s).  Permission for photographs is deemed to be given by joining the walk.  However please make your walk leader or photographer aware on the day if you wish not to be part of any photographs.  Pictures might be used on websites or future publications.
