Preparing for a walk

It is the responsibility of all walkers to ensure that they are physically fit enough to take part in the walks selected.

Please take careful note of both the mileage and terrain description of the walks and pick the ones that best suit you.

Always carry protection against both sun and wet weather.

Parents/Guardians are solely responsible for choosing walks to suit the ability of their children.

Please inform the Walk Leader of any relevant health issues.

 

Footwear & Clothing
Please wear suitable walking shoes or boots.

Prepare in relation to the length of your walk.

Bring waterproofs and warm clothing as required.

The walk leaders may exercise their right to refuse to accompany walkers who are not sufficiently well equipped for their own safety.

 

Food & Drink

Do bring drinks and snacks, as required; groups should not rely on any refreshment purchases during the walk.

Full day walks will indicate arrangements for lunch.

At the end of a walk, you may have the option of a pub/café visit with your group
